Pluck thoughts...

After reading Steve's comment, I gave Pluck another try.  I think I am going to settle in to start using it, but a few "nice-to-haves" (many of which I've found are in the IE version) may include:

  • Folder Digests.  The ability to see a digest view of each underlying feed.
  • Unread Posts (in Digest View).  Is there any way, when viewing a feed, to know if there are new posts since the last time the feed was read?  For instance, maybe there is a "new" icon next to the subject in the digest view?
  • Unread Posts (in Folder).  Perhaps there is a way to see how many new posts are in a folder, and have that roll up to the root folder (which would obviously be the sum of unread posts in each underlying folder and feed).
  • Customizable Digest Stylesheets.  Maybe a CSS file that can part of the user profile? Obviously this would an "advanced" feature, but even opening this up to stylesheet galleries, etc. would be a nice touch.
  • Site Link.  A way to go to the feed's site, even if there are no posts in the digest/view.

As mentioned the IE flavour of Pluck seems far more fully featured.  I'd be interested in the development/release strategy is on the Firefox side of the Pluck shop...

Missing Pluck Site Link Feature

Yes, Pluck definitely needs a "Site Link" capability. I've found the lack of a site link to be one of the more irritating deficiencies. So, I submitted a support request to Pluck requesting a "site link" feature.
